Pornography addiction has become a hotly debated subject. As the number of men claiming to struggle with it grows, society meets them with skepticism and condemnation. Is it just an excuse for unrestrained urges? Is there harm in the vast world of online erotica? Are those opposed to pornography simply stuck in archaic sexual moralities and beliefs?

Everyone's primary focus seems to be on the word 'porn,' overshadowing the real concern – 'addiction.' We readily accept and address addictions to TV, gambling, the internet, shopping, and even chocolate! But slap 'sex' or porn before 'addiction', and controversy ensues. With a smartphone, a world of pleasure, and perhaps peril, lies at one's fingertips, offering anonymous indulgence that erases traditional boundaries. To millions, the reality of sex and porn addiction is as undeniable. Not all cases fit neatly into a box, and the spectrum of behaviours and triggers is vast.
A fresh perspective suggests differentiating pornography addiction from sex addiction. In the forthcoming blogs, we will dive deeply into A variety of explanations and definitions of why sex and pornography addiction cause such emotional, physical and social devastation in people's lives.
